Guest guest
Jen Thank you for the reply. I am also on an antidepressant (Lexapro), in addition to all my other meds. It seems to have helped me some; I went on it after being diagnosed with autoimmune thyroiditis/Hashimotos in April or May. I am not as weepy as I was then. My doc seems really sweet and caring, and said to call or email her anytime (in my line of work I know many docs in Nashville, and docs that want to keep such open lines of communication with their patients are RARE here). Thankfully, after having crappy insurance for 3 yrs, my husband just got a job with good insurance. I have been so busy with work this week though to call and make my PT appt, but I am calling Monday. I just hope the ins. company does not give me any flack (it is BC/BS and they can be real stinkers from past experience with them). Guest guest
Kim, Do you know Dr. Bal, from the Frist Clinic? Also, my father-in-law, Cullen Merritt, was a physician until a couple of years ago. I heard he was supposed to have been a good doctor, though is a less than stellar fil! cyn At 03:20 PM 10/30/2004 +0000, wrote: (in my line of work I know many docs in Nashville, and docs that want to keep such open lines of communication with their patients are RARE here). cyn clmerritt@... site mod for Neo-Slither site mod for Humourists site mod for List-Helper site mod for HerpChat site mod for Herp-Photography site mod for Fibromyalgia_Support_Group site mod for FSGMODS owner & mod for Creamsicle owner & mod for HerpMods
Guest guest
Hey Cyn, I don't know Dr. Bal. Since I have worked in rehab, I know pretty much all of the orthos, spine and hand surgeons, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, neurologists, and docs who deal with industrial acquired illnesses (Hep C, toxic chemical exposures, etc) and general surgeons. I know most of the docs at Vandy who are pediatric specialists since I now work with many children with birth or developmental probs. Is Dr. Bal new? I don't know your father-in-law though. The docs I wish I knew better are the ones I need right now, rheumys and endos. But I do like my new rheumy i at St. . How is your eye, BTW? I must have missed where you updated us on what happened. Guest guest
Hi Kim, Dr. Bal is my internist, but his specialty has something to do with heart research. He's developed a new procedure that's supposed to be revolutionary. Most of his patients go to Centennial, but some go to St. . He replaced my doctor, Griscom, when he retired. I really miss Dr. Griscom, he was really sweet and a wonderful doctor. My eye is pretty much the same. It's kind of like snow-blindness. I'm wondering if I somehow got some red blood cells in the vitreous humor, and they're floating around in there. I've heard about that kind of thing happening, and usually the blood cells are dissolved, but it's a slow process. I was supposed to go to the ophthalmologist, but I don't even have the money for the co-pay. My son said he'd pay it, but I hate to keep asking him for money. He has helped us out a lot, and he's got his own life. I don't want to have to depend on my children. cyn At 04:38 PM 11/6/2004 +0000, you wrote: Hey Cyn, I don't know Dr. Bal.
