Guest guest Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 I have been taking Isocort for about 2-3 months, and it worked great for me for that time, very little fatigue. As time went by and I needed to increase my dose on a regular basis, up to aprox 8 per day the results began to diminish e.g. fatigue was back. I then switched to a different adrenal glandular (Adrenal Rebuilder) by , and take it in the am with Isocort still in the afternoon this is working for now. It seems our bodies can get used to certain supplements and build up a resistance where they are no longer effective, at least this is what happended with me and Iso. I still am unable to take Armour or other thyoid meds, so I'm going to continue to work on adrenals with glandulars. Glad you are doing well also, and you may do fine on Isocort and continue to feel wonderful, I certainly hope so ;)However if things behgin to shift you may need to add another type of supplement/glandular for your adrenals. > > Hi All. Guest guest Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 It cn happen that your adrenals just were low enough that there wasn't enough cortisol for your OWN thyrid hormones to get into the cells, but I am betting this will be a passing thing and you will be tired when the excess thyroid is gone. Your body is most likely using thyroid that was built up in your blood now and ewhen that os gone you are likely to go hypo again. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ Quote
Guest guest Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Thanks Val, so to make sure I understand, then Isocort can use up the free T in your blood and that eventually you will not feel anything from the Isocort because you are too low Thyroid hormones? > It cn happen that your adrenals just were low enough that there wasn't > enough cortisol for your OWN thyrid hormones to get into the cells, but > I am betting this will be a passing thing and you will be tired when the > excess thyroid is gone. Guest guest Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 What ,makes you feel more energetic with isocort is the thyroid getting into the cells. Other wise cortisol can actually relax you to sleep! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ Quote

Guest guest Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 That is exactly what was happening when I was taking hc, it made me soooo sleepy then made me feel hyper, I just gave up on it after a few days. Does this mean there is not enough Thyroid hormones available or getting into the cells. > > What ,makes you feel more energetic with isocort is the thyroid getting > into the cells. Guest guest Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Why did you stop it at a time when it was beginning to work and giving you energy, because I was very very sleepy the first 9 days or so and now hyper...I won't stop now. --- wrote: > >>That is exactly what was happening when I was > taking hc, it made me > soooo sleepy then made me feel hyper, I just gave up > on it after a few > days. Guest guest Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I was in the middle of a conference and really needed to be sharp, I couldn't afford to be kind of in and out of it, which I was. So based on your experience do you feel better on hc? I was only taking 5mg a day also, how much are you taking, see ya... > > > >>That is exactly what was happening when I was > > taking hc, it made me > > soooo sleepy then made me feel hyper, I just gave up > > on it after a few > > days. Guest guest Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I haven't tried hc. I thought you said you were taking Isocort? I'm using Isocort for only 2 weeks, so it's too soon to tell but the last 3 days I've felt a lot better. --- Duane wrote: > I was in the middle of a conference and really > needed to be sharp, I > couldn't afford to be kind of in and out of it, > which I was. Guest guest Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I had taken Isocort for quite a while and it worked great, then as I prev mentioned it just stopped working, regardless of the dose, so I switched to Adrenal Rebuilder from s. Val mentioned that there may not be enough Thyroid hormones in the blood for the cortisol to work with. I had prev tried small doses of Armour but did not do well, so I may try just 1/4 grain in the next day or so. I'm feeling pretty good with the s Adrenal, so I will see. Hope you continue to do well > > > > > > > >>That is exactly what was happening when I was > > > > taking hc, it made me > > > > soooo sleepy then made me feel hyper, I just > > gave up > > > > on it after a few > > > > days. Guest guest Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Hi there, I have been going over a lot of the messages on this board trying to make sense of what everyone is doing. How do you know it is ok to mix things (like Isocort & 's formula)? What about Cortef? Do you take that as well? Is Isocort totally natural? And you order it off the internet? Do you all have doctors monitoring your levels or are you pretty much doing this on your own? If so, do you test your cortisol levels often? How do you know how your thyroid is doing, with all the increasing & decreasing of thryoid meds? In addition, I am curious about . She seems to give a lot of medical advise. Is she a doctor? Thanks, Mel Quote
