Guest guest Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Hey , I've had irregular cycles for the last few years but not quite like this. I saw my gyno last month and that was one of my questions... if I was going through early menopause or not? As I've had a piece of each ovary removed, my natural thoughts were that I obviously have fewer eggs so I would obviously be through menopause early. My doctor assured me that I am not going through it at this time and after all the ultrasounds and exams, he believes that menopause is not going to happen as early as I believed. Personally, I wouldn't mind going through it early and get it over with, but I'm sure not looking forward to the moodiness and the hot flashes. I'd like this monthly baloney to be gone completely and I don't yet know if I can do the estrogen patch or not. Something tells me that would defeat the purpose of getting rid of that monthly unwanted guest, but I guess I'll have to discuss the pros and cons with him at a later time. Thanks for your thoughtfulness on this issue... muchly appreciated hun. gentle hugs, Norah Norah Bleazard - Burlington, Ontario Canada www.bleazard.net ~ www.janorlites.com E-MAIL= norah.fibroyahoo@...
