Guest guest
Today makes two weeks that I have been aggressively repositioning. I was very disillusioned the first week because I did not think that there was any improvement. I started repo at 10 weeks and he is now 12 weeks. This past week I am excited to say that there is some improvement. His occipital bone is starting to round out somewhat and he is not favoring his flat side anymore because it is starting to round out just a little. Since he is so young, I am successfully keeping him off his flat side all night because I continue to swaddle him as I have done since he was born. Also, he is responding a little better to tummy time and little by little I am able to keep him on his tummy better. Even though he has mild plagio, I believe that I am getting better results by keeping him off his flat side completely. In the beginning I tried to rotate him to both sides but that did not work cuz he would favor the flat spot when I laid him on that side. That is why I have found it better just to keep him off that side completely. To ensure that he does not get flat on his good side I lay him using a side positioner at night so there is no pressure at all on the back of his head. I am very excited by his progress, although slight, it is enough to encourage me to keep going. His head does not look completely flat on one side now it is rounding out. As always, I appreciate all of your encouragement and advice and I lend all of my support also to all banding and repositioning parents. and Baby
Guest guest
All right !! Keep up the great work! Repo'ing can work if we catch the flatness and continue to be aggressive with it -- keep it up! Guest guest
, It is wonderful that you are seeing some rounding! Way to go!! Please keep us posted on 's progress. It is so fortunate that is so young, and that you are able to reposition him at night with relative ease... that should go a long way in ensuring that you get the maximum results for your efforts. Please keep us posted! Christie (Mom to Remy) > Today makes two weeks that I have been aggressively repositioning. Don't forget to take weekly pictures of his head to be able to do comparisons of his improvements. If you get a chance post some pictures in an album so we can all see your little cutie and his rounder noggin. Dustie > Today makes two weeks that I have been aggressively repositioning.
