Okay so I need some advice...I moved back to my hometown for career

reasons about 9 months ago...prior to this I was NC with my Nada now I

am LC thanks to my family...so far it has worked out okay...now I am

dating this really great guy...its pretty new...my Nada has never met a

boyfriend of mine until it was serious (well she only met my former

fiance)...but should I have her meet him...I want the people like my

sis to meet him and if they start meeting him she will freak out...any

suggestions?

I quit bringing guys home to meet my nada at least a year or more before I

joined the

Army. I just told my nada that I did not feel the need to bring anyone around

because I

was not interested in settling down (which was true). You could put an emphasis

on any

meetings between your sis and S.O. be in a casual atmosphere that way you can

brush

aside any protests by the nada. " Gee mom, if it is important I will make sure

you meet him

but otherwise I want to keep it low key. "

I will admit to some VERY good luck. I met my now husband while stationed in

Germany.

We conducted our whole relationship with minimal influence from his family or

mine. We

did not even meet each others families until we had been married FOR A YEAR

almost.

Seventeen whole months of no interference. it was bliss. We Married six months

and one

day after we had started seeing each other. And had only known each other for a

month

before that...nineteen years later...still married.
