Custom foam wedges for postural drainage Good morning Norma Then the Vest is the way to go if you have osteoporosis. All the more reason you need gravity to help you if you feel the need to do postural drainage as well. The important thing is to get your head lower than your lungs and on an incline, ( so hanging like a bat ( even if we could) doesn't help!!!). See below for some addresses that I found online for foam wedges. E foam will custom make for you. In this case I don't think Memory Foam will serve your needs as it will take on your shape , you need a harder foam to support you. Here are some other simple things that I find helpful I also lie down and " tip " my upper body when I'm on the Vest, and when I do the Acapella. " Huffing " instead of coughing , easier on your bones. Breathe deep and slow whenever you can. Blow up a different color balloon every day, see if you can make it bigger every day. Sing in a steamy shower Sip plenty of water, take Mucinex or NAC , avoid mucous creating dairy.( ask any singer ! ) Eat plenty of ginger and garlic, leeks, onions. ( nature's disinfectants) I also take daily turmeric for reducing inflammation. To avoid infection ( I teach young children ) nasal wash and gargle daily with 50/50 hydrogen peroxide/water. I run vinegar and water through my Omron micro-air nebulizer daily to avoid the salts ( albuterol) clogging up the filter. I wash out the mouthpiece in vinegar and water The Acapella Choice comes apart for cleaning ( well worth getting a new one ) . I wash it all out in a bowl of antibacterial soap and water, rinse and let it air dry. Weekly disinfect with 50/50 vinegar and water, rinse and let air dry. Different things work for different people . Hope there's some simple things here that helps you . 1. Foam Yoga Wedgewww.MatsMatsMats.com Can help you with many yoga poses.
