Guest guest
My son (4 yr old) is taking Diflucan 50mg twice/day for 2 weeks in each month. He is on Antibiotics and Antifungals rotation. Dr prescription was 50mg once/day. Since Dr office called in Pharmacy for prescription, I did not see the actual prescription. Stupid Pharmacy put the label wrongly as twice/day. So I have been giving him double the dosage for past 2 months (March16-31 & April 16-today). Just today we found out the mistake because I called for new prescription and this time pharmacy put the label correctly as once/day. Also recently my son started having lot of behaviour issues: chewing on clothes, grabbing his penus and sometimes squeezing or playing with it so hard that it might hurt and he would cry. Lot of screaming, jumping all the time etc. He started loosing his appetite as well. We could not figure out what was wrong, his urine work did not show anything. Now I believe that it is this Diflucan over dosage that might be causing these issues. I am waiting for Dr advice now, I feel like crying and very nervous now. Please help, What should I do now? (Pharmacy has admitted their mistake, what kind of action I can take against them?) Thanks Shanthi
