While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
, I am Monika, 39, mom of 3, 2 are special needs. I was diagnosed about a year ago too. The cold does seem to make me worse as well, especially since I have arthritis everywhere. I am sorry you are having such a painful day, what painkillers are not working for you? Maybe the dr. isn't giving you the right pain meds. I take darvocet when I have too, they upset my tummy a little, but better than the pain! Also, lots of heat helps me, on this group there was a member who told us how to make rice heat packs, ( like the bed buddies you buy in Walgreens drug store for $10) This really helps me a lot in this weather. Nothing gets rid of the pain, I just try to get through one day at a time, aren't we all?! hugs, Monika lets welcome orca1862 Hello and welcome to the group. you have found a very supportive and encouraging group, so, make yourself at home here and ask whatever questions you have and be ready to make some new friends. Guest guest
, Welcome to the group. This is a great place to be for support, information, laughter and friendship. I'm sorry to hear that you are in so much pain and the meds aren't working. I can totally relate. We are in the same boat. I cannot tolerate cold either. I am in Louisiana and we have humidity along with the cold that chills you to the bones. We don't get snow, but I've heard that isn't as bad because it isn't humid like here. hugs, Sundra
