Oh how I wish the Government Healthcare covered it... It used to cover a portion of Chiro, 30 some odd physiotherapy visits, never covered massage, never covered aqua therapy. So they've taken away the little they used to cover and decided to start charging us per month for the insurance. Why you say.... GREED to help get out of the deficit. Gogh... so help the government get out of debt, by putting all the people into debt. Makes no sense to me... who suffers... the people and the companies that get stuck paying Long Term Disability for their employees that get hurt. Go figure. Makes perfect logical sense to me... maybe if they stopped buying $200 hammers, and $40 dollar pencils... they could have made the healthcare system actually help people.

They only cover $50 of an ER visit to a hospital outside of Canada. I'm still paying for my miscarriage in the US 3 years back. Thanks oh mighty great government for taking such good care of your people... stupid idiots. Boy... could I go on and on about this... but I won't. Hence, 's U.S. credit card with the nice high spending limit is paying for all my treatments. We'll have to just pay it off bit by bit and hopefully once I get better, I can get my novel finished and hopefully someone will think it's worthy enough to publish. Otherwise... we'll be in mega debt until we die.

I swear... This is the way our government thinks... "Keep the people sick, underpaid, and destitute... and don't forget to pay your taxes... thank you very much.. I'll take you pay, and have a nice day". If was to leave me, the government would take care of me on the social system... but hubby earns too much money for them to give me a dime and he's not even a citizen of Canada. Instead of being grateful that a professional of his skills and education gave up his homeland to come here and work for peanuts, they repay him by robbing him blind. Ok.. enough of my horrible rants about our system. It really sucks to be honest. It's only works for the healthy and the rich. Everyone else can just disappear as far as they're concerned until voting time. That's about the only time they will pay attention.

Sowwie for my rants... but I do feel better by letting people outside of Canada know how I feel. Telling most people here makes no difference. The majority of Canadians (not all) have this "head in the sand, Ostrich mentality". If I pull the covers over my head it doesn't exist. Uggggh. They'll protest over stuff that doesn't even concern them.. but come to their own health and welfare... they run and hide, but enjoy complaining about it. The strongest backbone of the Canadian people that I have seen are the retired senior citizens. The government tried to cut back on their senior services one year... and boy oh boy... there was an army of white haired people protesting and picketing. Too bad the younger generation didn't learn something about protecting your rights.

Ok.. I'm off on another insane rant. BWAHAHAHAHAHA... I just hate ignorance and laziness... LOL. Life isn't perfect anywhere by any means.. But I do believe in a loud voice and a strong arm :-) Hubby says I'm a closet American... hehehehehe. I just believe in fighting for what you are entitled to and protecting your freedoms. Maybe I am American and forgot... good 'ole Fibro Fog :-)

forgive my long-winded verbal diarrhea :-)

loving hugs,

Norah

Norah,

I hate winter weather too. we really don't get too much snow here, but it is enough to make all the people who shouldn't even have driver's licenses come out and scare the rest of us to death. I have never lived in a place without snow in the winter and I suppose I might miss it after a few years. I hope the weather holds off until you can get all of your appointments done. I am impressed with how much you do for your fibro. I wish I could financially go to massage, chiro and water therapy too. Is any of that covered in Canada by the government?

Take care and BIG HUGS
