Guest guest Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Hi , Way to go for noticing that you are emotionally okay and even feeling excited. That is how withdrawal was for me, too. I had some pretty severe physical symptoms, but was okay emotionally. I believe the supplements and good food really helped, although now I see how much better I could have felt without the grains. You are doing good work by giving up the grains up front. By the way I made the roasted veggies last night with garlic, fennel, and olive oil. I put cut-up leftover pork roast and fresh mozzerella on the veggies for the last five minutes of roasting. OMG it was delicious! I used summer squash, onions, celery, and beets. Essentially what I ended up with was a pan full of pizza toppings. Not that anyone would put beets on a pizza, but garlic, mozzerella, olive oil, fennel seed, and oregano makes everything taste like sausage pizza. Be a chatter box. Thanks for letting me know. Finding out what other people are going through helps me put things in context. I know I'm not alone and that what's happening to me is actually quite normal. > You are doing good work by giving up the grains up front. You're doing good work, too, by giving them up Sounds like you're doing great. I guess I've felt so cruddy for so long that I'd be willing to do anything as long as it led to healing. You could tell me to live on nothing but grapefruit for the rest of my life and if that were the healthy thing to do I'd do it. I can see how the temptation to have other things must creep in when you're feeling better though; sort of, " I'm doing fine, how is a little of this going to hurt. " Hopefully I'll clearly remember what I've been through when that happens, and know I don't want to be here again. Your roasted veggies sound delicious by the way. I haven't tried putting cheese on mine. Maybe I'll see what happens if I cover them with a little tomato sauce too. That sounds scrummy. Quote
