Guest guest Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Hello Everyone, My name is and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I feel like I already know a little bit about you if you have been posting as I have been lurking and reading the files while I have been busily filling out 's Questionnaire in preparation for a personal consultation. The more I have read not only from this list but the other two lists recommends at the end of each post, I am feeling that "coming home" feeling that we oftentimes get when we have found a place of fitting in...a place that feels like we have been there before, one of familiarity. My brief history would be one who experienced incest from the age of 2 - 11 at the hands of an older male sibling ( 9 years my senior ) I only mention this as it had definite ramifications on my physical health. Never smoked (caught my beautiful long brown hair on fire the first time I tried to light a cigarette in 9th grade! They weren't kidding when they said smoking could be hazardous to your health! Damn near killed me I use to drink maybe once a year but do not do that with all the medications I am on now. In March of 2002 I had to have 4 feet of my large intestine out which continues my struggle in finding things that will stay down or digest properly. Approx 4 months after this surgery I began having Arthritic symptoms of swelling and intolerable pain in almost all my major joints accompanied with severe exhaustion. I was diagnosed with Poly Inflammatory Arthritis and Fibromyalgia ( both Autoimmune diseases ) in October of that same year and have been through a rigorous program of drugs to try and keep myself out of a wheel chair, working a 40 hour job as a Computer Support Analyst, and keeping the excruciating pain at bay. I am currently on Morphine, Oxycodone, Lunesta (for sleep) Lexapro (for depression. Clonzepam (for tremors and restless leg syndrome) Plaquenil to try and put the illnesses into remission. I am looking forward to withdrawing from as many of these drugs as possible while nourishing my body to a point where I can care for myself on a more natural bases. I would be lying if I said there wasn't some in trepidation on my part as I just can't bare the pain. I am looking forward to a natural source to do so. As far as diet goes I LOVE VEGETABLE AND FRUITS. However due to my digestive track many times find myself living on Yogurt, Yogurt drinks and Ensure. This should do it for now. I have rambled on long enough! I am excited to be here and thank you all kindly for your courage to be here and your willingness to share. Yahoo! Mail goes everywhere you do. Get it on your phone.
