Guest guest
Moderator's note: Here is a link that explains even more about Diabetes Insipidus. I believe this will supplement what Gwen is talking about. She has lived with it for many years. http://tinyurl.com/2322gs Kaylene I just now was able to log on, very busy this weekend. I without the proper meds drink about 4 gallons in a 24 hour period, with meds I will drink about 2 gallons. I do not ever get water logged. I am always and I mean always dehydrated, even after drinking that much water. I do not drink much of anything else. I will use the bathroom at least every 10 minutes without meds, with meds about every 30 minutes. I do not have a bladder issue but I do have Diabetes Insipidus. NO it is not SUGAR Diabetes. Yes, I put that in capitals because everyone thinks it is diabetes but it has nothing to do with sugar at all. This problem is a water balance problem. I could not find the original post from Becky but I encourage you to immediately seek a doctor. It cannot be a primary doctor because 99% of them do not know what you are talking about. You must see an endocrinologist and a good one at that. I had a brain tumor which started my problem. All it takes is a bump on your head in the right place. If you want I can tell you more, but let me strongly encourage you this is a very real problem, one of which most people will tell you to stop drinking water. You cannot because stopping will kill you. You must drink or feel you will die and you will. You are drinking to much because you body cannot handle it, it is not processing it right. It simply goes through you and so you are fainting due to lack of water. Even though you have tons of it in you truly are dehydrated. You must asap like tomorrow go to a doc! Feel free to e-mail me privately if you want. I am going to church but will be back on later tonight. I can never be not on my meds. It will literally kill me in 24 hours. So please please go to a doctor You need the water but you cannot drink that much water, yet you need it! I know it sounds crazy. I am not saying you have this, only that what you are describing sounds like something is seriously wrong! Gwen
