Guest guest
I did research and called to get details of some medicine that I'm on. Medicare is not what it trys to make like it is. Yes, it may cover prescription drugs BUT at a huge cost. For example here was the info I received on a printout of what it would cost me...I couldn't afford it. Remember the premium is only for Part D and does not include the primary Medicare premium. Fortunately,my husband has insurance, which is costly but compared to Medicare I think I will leave myself on his. Here is the breakdown they gave me 3 different plans here is an example of 1 of them.: Estimated annual Cost was 1) $5234 Estimated Annual Cost Plan ID 088 $5096 for Mail Order Pharmacy $6.93 Monthly Premium $250 Annual Deductible $2250 Initial Coverage Limit (amount you have to spend BEFORE your copay or coinsurance changes) Rebif $383.23 month $996.42 Mail Order Detrol LA 22.59month $57.50Mail Order Zoloft $20.19 month $ 51.25 Mail Order Alprazolam $65.06 month $189.18 Mail Order Then it state Your Montly Drug Costs AFTER your drug costs reach the INITIAL Coverage Limit BUT BEFORE your total out of pocket expense equals $3600 Rebif $1532.92 month Then it states Your Monthly Drug Costs AFTER your total out of pocket expenses equals $3600 (Catastrophic Coverage) Rebif then is 76.65 month. As you all can see, this is just not what it is all cracked up to be. Plus they try and make it as confusing as anyone could try to figure out what the heck they are charging. The other 2 Options were no better, below is just a little info on it. 2) $5299 Estimated Annual Cost Plan ID 028 $12.37 Montly Premium 0 Deductible 3) $5336 Estimated Annual Cost Plan ID 058 $51.18 Monthly Premium 0 Deductible Darlene Relax.
