Guest guest
ps I tried sending this to you privately however there seems to be something wrong with my email so I will try this way. Hope it works. Dear Patti, Not sure if you remember me, it's Leigh-Anne a fellow Canadian on the westcoast (wife of Ken PSC AIH). Anyways I was lurking a few weeks ago and came across your email in regards to family support or lack there of it for Mike(from his side of the family). I am so going through the same thing, Ken's family just has no clue and they are pissing me right off. I read the email Barb sent you about how to approach the situation and I agree with her approach however we do not live close to Ken's family so I could not do it in person. Also when I think about contacting his dad especially, my blood boils and I am afraid of blowing up at him, getting emotional etc.. I was just wanted to touch base with you to see if you have approached his family yet and if so what their reception was like. I have to say something to his family because it just kills me to see how much it hurts Ken that his family is being a bunch of dickheads! I appreciate any words of wisdom you may have. I hope things are going well for you guys, what you are going through as far as Mike's transplant evaluation sounds exactly like what Ken and I went through a year ago when he went through his. He never was listed. Keep your head up, thoughts, prayers and Canadian hugs coming your way. Love and hugs, Leigh-Anne Schofield Terrace BC Canada
