Welcome to the group Elise! I can relate to the chair bound, though I can

walk a short distance in the house as long as I have something to hold onto.

I've always been fascinated with wood carving, never had the nerve to try

it. It amazes me how a person can take a block of wood and make something

pretty.

My hobby is sewing. I just recently got a serger sewing machine, first one

ever and have been learning all the different seams etc. I love to quilt but

mostly sew small items these days. There is always something to be done in

the house, cleaning, cooking and caring for my husband of 43 years, very

little time for sewing. I know you are right. It makes me feel so good when

I make something pretty and it takes my mind off the pain.
