Guest guest
CPT code 97033 (iontophoresis) is a timed unit. If application is less than 8 minutes and you are sending the patient home with this patch...how many units are you charging? In MN one unit of Ionto does not cover the cost of the patch and the cost of the electrode would be included in 97033. I cannot find a HCPCS code for the patch alone which tells me your not going to be able to bill with anything getting reimbursement. Colette Warren, Bus. Mgr. colettew@... I really like the product, but it is expensive ($15 per treatment), and I'm trying to figure out the best way to bill. I know I can bill 97033 (iontophoresis), but can you also bill the product itself? Thanks in advance, Pennisi Lakeshore Sports Physical Therapy Chicago, IL
