Wondered if the newer folks would be interested in starting it again. My list of bizarro girts from nada goes on forever. I think she mistakes giving people gifts for having relationships. She would give me things and take them back, saying I need this more than you. She saves manilla envelopes for about everyone she knows, shoving random items in them including magazine clippings, candy etc. Oh ya, she found out I liked Hot Tamales (the candy) which I liked a little bit, you know, and she started giving me 4 pound bags of Hot Tamales every single time I saw her (which was only a few times per year, but still no single person needs a 4 lb bag of Hot tamales). She would buy me clothes that I would never possibly wear anyway 2 sizes too big. She wouldn't buy me clothes or things that I needed. And at Christmas a year ago (NC 5 years, but I still did an annual visit for my dad until this year when I said no more and haven't talked to him since, she made me ill) my boyfriend told her he liked a drawing of my brother's from when he was 4 years old that she put up every Christmas for 32 year. SHE TRIED TO GIVE IT TO MY BOYFRIEND! Boyfriend had never even met my brother - why would a mother give a drawing she had saved for 32 years away to someone who didn't even know the artist? gs Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
