Steve,

I have had the same problem since early childhood. Now that I'm off my vits and

herbs I was taking on the Candida program I feel worried it will come back...

So I too am interested. I am going to be doing bowel, Kidney, liver and

gallbladder cleanses as soon as I figure out which ones are the best.... geesh,

so much reading!

Barb, how does he take it? Does he cook with it, or put it into a drink of some

sort?

I'm sorry if that is a stupid question..... :o)

<<Flaxseed meal (buy the seeds in bulk and grind them

keep the seeds in the freezer, and grind only what you

Would you take this in a glass of water or a hot cup of tea?

Heat oxidises fatty acids. In other words, eat raw or in seed form. When fish,

then slowly on low temp.

Steve,

I, too, am looking for this advice. Eliminating prunes and coffee from my

routine has made constipation horribly worse.

I use senokot, casca sagrada, etc. Sure wish I could get off that

stuff....

Please, please check into Dr. Schulze Intestinal Formula #1. Arise

and Shine also has a product called Chomper that works well. They

are part of their cleansing regimen.

Chris:

Just made an appt. with a Gastrointerologist as I have a problem myself. Even

before the meds and the diet (both which are constipating), I've never really

been all that regular, but now it's just an awful problem. I have

prescription poo poo medications and they don't always work so I was so

excited to see your recent entry. Will definitely go to the health food store

and pick some of this stuff up. Thanks so much.

A very grateful,

Robin

Don't know. But, as I've said, I have prescription stuff that doesn't always

work (and one of the meds they give to people who are having colonoscopy's).

I want to meet with the doc as this has been an ongoing problem and I'd like

to just get it checked out for my peace of mind, eventhough I'm sure I'm

fine. But thanks again.

Your welcome dear....but be prepared. I don't know of a whole lot of Dr's

that are FOR herbs at all. Course, they don't get any kickbacks for them

either ;) Trust me on this one....take just ONE...and wait a day or so

before taking another one! LOL Are you going to try this before your

appt? If so, you may be cancelling your appt <G>

Ask me about my new MSM lotion for aches/pains!

I'd like to share a recipe that my general back doctor gave me.

He's the one that I think is a total genius. I did ask him if he

had military training in explosives after the positive results. :)

Well, I had spent 27 hours in the hospital for my L3/4 Laminectomy.

I went home. My cousin was there to cook and clean for

me. As a reward, I bought her one hell of a printer.

I ate like a pig for about 7 days. No problem with urination, but

nothing solid was moving. I finally started getting reallllllllly

uncomfortable. Here is what the doc had me take:

4 Senokot S tablets (suggested regualar dose was 2)

Drink a 10 oz bottle of citrate of magnesia over ice.

Drink the same amount of water over ice.

About 3 hours later, it was just like Hiroshima. Triple-flusher.

My constipation was attributed to the anesthesia, which I

can accept.

Hope this helps for anyone needing it. My best to all of you.

Joe

, you're such a doll. I appreciate the support. Actually, I've just made

the appt. to see a gastrointerologist (sp?). Not having any test yet. My

regular doc thinks I probably just have irritable bowel sydrome, if anything.

I'm most probably just fine. But thanks for the kind words.

Hi Jan:

I, too, have been off for a couple of days due to drs. appts. lol. Glad

you're feeling a bit better (said a " bit " ). Hope the injection does the trick

and ends the remaining torture. Hope the neurologist can finally pinpoint

exactly where in your back seems to be causing the trouble. No, I'm not

having a colonoscopy, atleast yet. I just scheduled an appt. with a

gastrointerologist to discuss my " irregularity " problem lol. Glad to hear

from you though. And thanks for the well wishes. Let me know how you do after

the injection. Be well my friend.

I read once that constipation can be caused by a bacteria. I am sorry I don't

know the name of it. But I wonder if you have tried an olive leaf extract, or

some other natural antibiotic, like goldenseal, that effects the bad guys but

not the good guys?

Also wonder what the color of your stool is. Light or dark. Are you producing

enough bile, too much bile?

Blessings

On the Benefiber or Metmucil stuff, the folks with the Specific

Carbohydrate Diet which focuses on the colon issues don't like that.

They also feel that any of the herbs that are supposed to 'coat' the

intestines in a similar fashion are bad too. I will find out exactly

what is recommended though, and why those other commercial things

are not preferred.

I are stuff on magnesium sulfate or mag citrate for the constipation

with my younger son. That works super great. But a few other people

have needed to go to something else.

I have tried everything out there to help my daughter's constipation and

one product really did help...aloe vera juice. The best one I can recommend

is 's Aloe Vera made by Warren Labs. A quart costs me $6.95 at the

health food store. They do something to it to take out the " woodsy " flavor

that is in other brands. I only give 1/4 cup a day and it really helps

keep her regular. It's also great for the gut. It tastes just like water.

I've been on opiate meds (methadone) for many years and with high doses

comes severe constipation. The best thing I've found is aloe vera juice.

I get it from Walmart. It's by Fruit of the Earth and comes in a big

square container. This will not only cure your constipation, but will also

help many other digestive problems. Aloe Vera is very soothing too. I

have heard from others who use aloe vera that the plant leaf can also be

used. Not the hard outer part - the soft squishy inner part. Just fillet

a 6 inch piece of the leaf like a fish and add the innerds to a glass of

water. (I dab a little on my wrinkles too! It's great for your skin.)

Also, make sure you are well hydrated. Dehydration causes many problems

with our health. I drink at least a gallon of water a day. I have more

energy and feel great. I also drink 8 oz. (or more) of my own

home-generated colloidal silver daily. This killed my yeast problem and

keeps them under control. Plus I've been cold/flu free for many, many

months.

This is all my humble opinion of course. I'm hep c positive and have

numerous chronic viral demons in my body (caused by an unhealthy, 1980's

lifestyle). But these things work fabulous for me and I've never been or

felt better.

Thanks,
