Flomax as Afib Trigger?

Flomax (Tamsulosin) is a drug used to treat BPH (benign prostatic

hypertrophy).

I've been taking it for several months without any change to my

episodes of Afib.

Recently, my urologist suggested I take Flomax in the evenings -

about 2 hours before bedtime - as a means of increasing its

effectiveness.

I've been on this regimine two days, and each morning have

experienced afib episodes - my first in months.

One side effect of Flomax is heart palpitations, so it's possible

that my change in schedule has somehow lead to a new side effect

which may or may not change over time.

I'd be interested in hearing from any other members of the group who

may be taking Flomax to hear if it has triggered afib episodes.

Regards,

Steve
