I do know those days, when we can't quite pinpoint the emotions we are feeling...so many different feelings in just a minutes time. I do think it is ok to go through the emotions, if we didn't 'feel' we would appear heartless. I had wondered how your day went, have been there done that same trip myself. I felt as if I was walking in your shoes on Friday. Also, I remember when my dad's headstone was laid, it was just a week before Memorial Day last year (couldn't lay it before then as the weather and ground wasn't cooperating). Even though dad had been gone for 8 months, it felt all new again. Seeing his name on a headstone just seemed so unreal. I made it through that day, and so did you.
