Guest guest
Dear Abby- No 'thanks' necessary. Really, in these situations I feel I should be thanking you for opening up, for trusting me with such heartfelt information. It is my honor. I feel what you feel, I cry your tears, and I am walking your walk. I wish the distance between us would close so I could sit with you during your visits to your dad. I would be right there by your side. For now though, you are in my thoughts and always in my prayers. Do remember, through all of this, to take " Abby Time " and you deserve it!! Hugs and much love- Sandie
Guest guest
Thanks Sandie for always reminding me of what my priorities should be. Altogether too often lately I've been focusing on my job first, my father, my kids and then me. I come a distant fourth in terms of priorities and that isn't right. However, the good news is that there are only 32 teaching days left until my summer hiatus begins. I know I shouldn't be counting but a colleague in my department is retiring and he began the count so I've joined his bandwagon. Here in Toronto the weather has been a bit windy and rainy but it appears as if there is some chance for the sun to peak out sometime today. Here's hoping!! Have an even better Wednesday (hump day!!), Abby
Guest guest
Well considering that I am a daycare in a school it must be 33 days of work for me. We have to work the last P.A. day...we usually take the kids on a trip of some sort so it is not so bad. Kath Re: Awwww Abby > Thanks Sandie for always reminding me of what my priorities should > be. Guest guest
Abby- Thank you, thank you, and thank you for sharing your Saturday with me. I could see the happiness on your dad's face when greeted by his friends and going for ice cream later. I can't explain it, but I do feel I am walking these walks with you - remembering my dad today, through your experiences. Shedding a few happy tears for you as I type - Also, thank you for counting down with me for when I leave. I am excited and nervous about travelling so far. I do know having outstretched arms waiting for me when I arrive will be the greatest ending to what will seem like a dream - come true!! You are welcome for the hugs - today we had a sunny beautiful day- Go figure. Oh, and yes, we have mall walkers here too. Don't want to get in their way while they are on their track - could become a speed bump!! More hugs to you my friend- Sandie
