Guest guest
Donna, My granda would go into catatonic states and his BP would fluctuate because of this, although this is a very low BP as long as his heart rate and oxygen levels are fine i wouldn't worry about it too much.when oxygen levels are low you can usually spot it on the finger nails, they begin to have a blue tinge to them, this is something you can observe yourself. .xx low blood pressure ? Dad was pretty alert on Sat/Sun and somewhat on Monday ... he was pretty out of it on Tues and today. The PT was worried so he took his BP and it was 80/40 ! Now he's prone to low BP but its usually 110/70 or 100/60 ... but never this low. heart rate, blood ox etc were all well within normal range. I'm wondering if there is a correlation bwtn out-of -it days and BP ? Any of your LO with LBD have such low BP;s ? thanks donna Welcome to LBDcaregivers. Guest guest
Donna, My mom's BP is on the very low side, but it does tend to fluctuate on occasion. I haven't really noticed any correlation yet to the ups and downs. Not sure this helps much. Hugs, Betty
Guest guest
Donna- My dad's blood pressure used to run very low as well. Oddly as it may sound, lower on one side of his body than the other. Also, as mentioned, I could tell dad's blood pressure was low by his nail beds, and also his arms. They did turn a bluish color at times. Keep us informed on this- Sandie dad, Merle, passed away from LBD 9-20-
