Guest guest
I hate to put a post out about myself but since I want to stay as well as I can to take care of my two boys. I was hoping someone here might have some help. Currently I am suffering with a severe headache, migraine in nature, I have had these most of my life at the end of my period. My GYN said this would coincide with low estrogen. I take estroven and it seemed to help for awhile. I am now 45 years old and some of this could be perimenopausal or menopausal. The headaches get so bad I can hardly do anything sometimes for three days and no OTC prescriptions seem to help. Last night I woke up and my entire head and neck was in severe pain and stiffness. I drank water and took two aspirin and went back to bed. This morning I'm a little better. I do have some of the symptoms of diabetes, excessive thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision. I did read about encephalitis and they talked about virus' and also with diabetes the immune system can stop the pancreas from producing insulin. Which lead me here. Do any of you Moms have any of these symptoms? Can you shed any light? I know when I go to a Doctor they can't seem to help you with any preventative stuff nor piece it all together. If you want to post me privately that would be fine or ask more questions. I don't want to fill the board with irrelevant stuff. Thanks in advance, Jerri Gann . Guest guest
Jerri, I have the same problem -- exactly. I cannot shed any light and so far I just suffer through it. There probably is some solution and I always intend to look for it. Then the headache/neckache goes away and I forget... S. Guest guest
Hi Tina, my symptoms are fatigue, skin and hair problems, mainly. There are a few other small ones. One thing I thought of that was interesting is that even when I was thin, my stomach always stuck out. I can remember this even from when I was 5 years old. My sisters used to make fun of me for it. My DHEA is still within normal range, so I don't think I have an argument with my doc there. We'll see. I find it interesting that she didn't test estrogen b/c she told me last year that she thought that was my problem. I'm so sick of this s & it already. Why don't these people just do what they're supposed to do? ----Original Message Follows---- From: " tina83862 " <tina83862@...> Reply-hypothyroidism hypothyroidism Subject: thoughts again Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2004 21:48:10 -0000 " Estrogen and progesterone levels are at their lowest during menstruation " _________________________________________________________________ Get a FREE online computer virus scan from McAfee when you click here. http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963
Guest guest
You know I know how you feel. I have been telling my daughter that she has to get retested again so I know how her meds are working. She thinks another doctor can tell her what is wrong and what is missing--he could if he would do all the correct testing. I do feel more comfortable getting tests done even if you have wild reference ranges it still gives you somewhat of an idea what is going on. Doctors just don't care to do the research, that is the problem. And all it took was a little bit of time to go back and review some old info. I have friends but they are in the bone business and you can't believe the stories they tell of wrongful surgeries!!! It's almost out of control. You just have to get so many opinions so you can judge for yourself what is going on with your health. Out here look at Rob Nen from the SF Giants--they scewed up on his surgery and he had the best doctors. They thought it was a torn rotor cuff and it was a ligament. So now they did surgery on the rotor and he may never play again. I mean how could they make such a mistake? I just shake my head in disbelief!!!! > Hi Tina, > my symptoms are fatigue, skin and hair problems, mainly. There are a few > other small ones.
