Guest guest
I can only tell you based, on our experience that Dr G prescribed 1/2 of a tablet of Valtrex 3 x a day (500 mg tablet) for my 38-40 lb son. > > Hello everyone I was wondering if someone could give me the recommendations from Dr Goldbergs protocol for antivirals ie: dose per KG or per pound in body weight for Acyclovir and Valtrex? > > Many thanks > Regards > Terri NZ > > >

Guest guest
My assumption would be that he uses standard dosing rec. by age and by wt. I would ask a pharmacist. My son is on a table of famvir, which was just raised from 2x to 3x per day. He is not responding, acc. to labs, very well to any of the antivirals. --- s <rat.richards@...> wrote: > > Thank you for your replies. > Terri > Re: Valtrex/Aclcovir Dosage > Recommendations > > > > > I can only tell you based, on our experience that > Dr G prescribed > 1/2 of a tablet of Valtrex 3 x a day (500 mg > tablet) for my 38-40 lb > son. > > > > > > > > > Hello everyone I was wondering if someone could > give me the > recommendations from Dr Goldbergs protocol for > antivirals ie: dose > per KG or per pound in body weight for Acyclovir > and Valtrex? > > > > Many thanks > > Regards > > Terri NZ > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > > > > > > > > Responsibility for the content of this message > lies strictly with > the original author(s), and is not necessarily > endorsed by or the > opinion of the Research Institute. > > > >
Guest guest
Thanks for that sorry that your son is not responding they are all different - my youngest is having very good results very quickly and he is very low functioning but his therapy sessions have risen to high scores and are staying there so far its only been about three weeks but the therapist is very excited and is now introducing new stuff for him after a very long time of not really progressing at all. BUT - my 11 year old boy was just so extremely intolerant to the Valtrex - very sick physically so after nearly three weeks of a very sick not eating or drinking boy we had to put him back on Acyclovir which is not as effective - so disappointing he has many allergies I assume there is something in the make up of the pill that he is allergic to.
