Guest guest
Hi all, I have been waiting for my son's neuro to call back since last Friday and still have not recieved a call, so I thought I would ask you all a question regarding seizures. Gage had a seizure at school last week and I was able to get a clear answer as to what happened a few days later. He had a complex partial seizure (eyes blinking, lips smacking and hand shaking). It was the first of this kind he has had (usually myoclonic). Where my question comes in is this- I read about these and it said they only usually last upto 2 minutes. His teacher timed it and said he was doing it for 18 mintues. Eighteen minutes seems excessvie for any type of seizure. Is this something normal for this type of seizure and would it be something to be concerned about being that it lasted so long? Any imput would be helpful.
