Guest guest
We are getting the generic form called guanfacine and it is white. It's also quite cheap. Guest guest
, We use guanfacine too. He was off, and hyper the first week. But he is doing well now. We got it at Valgreene. Guest guest
We also get a generic form, but it is pink. It says on the pill 444. If anyone can tell me what is written on their white pill, it will help me find the generic by another manufacturer, I hope. Guest guest
Barb, The week took it; He had a worst week ever in school according to his teacher. But past two weeks, he has been doing much better. He was able to get Smiley face in class, and when he was getting upset, he was able to go to teacher before he has a fit. He is more in control, and interacts better. We had major regression after Labor Day due to cold, and mostly, change of school and expectations. This year the kids are a lot different, he was at receiving end of many things which builds up and he really had had time deal with it. All his autistic behavior was clear on display last quarter. He just did not know how to handle things, and he was also physically not doing well. We finally got ride of cold over a moth ago. But he was still in the slump until this past week, I can say, along with his teacher, he is doing much better, much less undesirable behaviors. When he got in trouble Wednesday, he was able to bounce back and get a smiley face next period. If it had happen before, he would stay in his Special ED teacher's office for a hour before he can function. When he was really upset a few times later in the week, he went to teacher instead of get into fight. We added Tenex about three and half weeks ago, had hard time control himself the first week. He did not just snap out of his regression when he started taking it. But he is well on the way now. So I can only think Tenex helped, because he was not able to get over with his hurdles for a long time.
