60 mg of Armour contains 38 µg of T4 and 9 µg of T3. Some of our favorite docs start most folks on either 90 or 120 mg of Armour. I am in favor of starting with a combination of Armour plus a T4 med to give you close to the same amounts of T3 and T4 you were on in the synthetic combination. In your case, that would be 60 mg of Armour plus 88 µg of your T4 med. The reality is that you will get whatever your doc usually

prescribes. bhootnath_nil wrote: Hi All,I have not posted in a while. Here is a little update. I had my baby on Aug 11. She was born 20 days early and was little(5 lb). But now she is doing OK. I hope I have not transferred any thyroid related problems to her.Anyway here is my question. I am taking 125 mcg levoxyl+5 mcg cytomel in the AM and 5 mcg cytomel in the pm. I had my last test on 9/21/06.TSH: .01FT4: 1.5(range: .8-1.8)FT3: over the range(don't have the numbers)I took my medicine at 7:00 am and the test was 2 hours later at 9:00. I had not planned to take medicine on that day, but forgot. Now that I am ready to convert to Armour, what should be the starting dose. Shall I start with 1

grain and increase gradually or is it ok to start with some dose which is equivalent to 125 T4 + 10 T3? How to do the conversion. I have seen this being discussed here before, but cannot figure out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,Nil

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! What is her name? I

think your conversion question has been answered but just wanted to

say congrats. Good luck on the Armour!
