Oh I can’t make head or tail of this kind of technical writing anymore

either, I leave it to the science minded LOL! To think once I did ½ nursing

school <sigh>. Never mind, we don’t have to understand it all. Aylwin xox

You're not alone. This post was way beyond my current ability to process

information. I see long posts like this and I have to decide 'is it worth

the energy to try to concentrate on them?'.

I'm afraid I've got to the stage where, if it looks too technical, I'l only

attempt it if I have some idea what it relates to and it's a subject I'm

really interested in.

I'm sure I miss a lot of interesting articles because people just post a

link without any indication of what it's about but I really have to conserve

energy.

Cheers

Kirsteen,

I'm with you! It is one thing when CFS site people put in a thread

they feel will be of interest but why oh why does anyone else have to

hunt the internet to throw more stuff at us than is possibly useful?

I'm thinkin someone wants the job of submitting threads on the big

highway and frankly, if I need info...I know where to find it. It

gets to be just tooo much.

They meaning authors of these articals) Post one day like it's

important and next thing you know, it's refuted as myth. I have no

energy for that. I've gone to reduced threads in email box rather

than goin to the site but I see where I am missing things I am

interested in and getting these addys to god knows where that I am

not interested in!

What is important to me is the here and now, the ones with this

illness that want a break but need to talk to others like themselves.

I will just say again. I pay attention to what the site puts up as

important and any others that may attempt to do the same to make a

name for themselves or whatever....I dont bother going to those

threads. I just find them very impersonal! To me that feels like

spam..not a periodic referral by a member thinkin it might help

someone.

ok off soap box but this really ticked me off and have been beggin to

say something!

huggs and squeezes,

Hi Sandrea,

I happened to originally have posted the CHAPTER 9: Methylation in

CFS post. Here I am guessing you refer to a post which I missed...

I do agree; this is a stupid place to attack people. Have a problem?

Write the moderators, but be .. gentle on the boards here, or if

a 'rule' is broken, let the person know in a way which is civil. Here

I thought the only controversy with it was thatpeople here were not

able to understand it; I was not either, but am able to get some of

it. I posted it for people on her who can get it. Perhaps there are

some with a knowledge of this stuff... NONE of this is easy. MUCH of

it is complex, but our brains were all 'higher functioning' prior to

our illness, right? Love,Jane, one with the hound

Hi ,

I have noticedsince the infamous Chapter 9 post that there was one

on another yahoo board that DID carry 'charts'or whatever they are

called which explain the chemistry or genetic makeup; not sure. (Gee,

is my ignorance showing yet, haha?? Very little science background,

etc)...

I do not know what computer or computer 'trick' they used, but I DID

send a 'good' copy of the Chapter 9 thing to CF Alliance.

As I'd offered before, should anyone desire it, will send a copy with

the arrows and such which connect the letters and numbers so one can

have an 'ah ha' moment. (If that is something which will explain it

well.... D'oh!!)

I don't understand those articles either. I don't even read them because

they're long.

You can add me to the list too. I think at least for me, it's over

stimulation to even attempt to consume so much. ME has had a huge

effect on my eyesite and frankly, what I read is limited because it

gets worse and I try to read. ummmm got that? lol Anyway, those long

ones really don't help me in any way. ummmm....I wondered what that

sound in my head was! " wah..wahwah..wah..........wah

:)
