Guest guest
: I'm so sorry that your mom has declined so rapidly since her fall and that she is in so much pain. You and I and everyone on this site know all too well that LBD on its own is more than enough for our loved ones to handle. I'm hoping that her time on pain medication is limited even if she is tolerating it well. My wish for her and for all of our loved ones is freedom from pain and the need for pain medication. Wishing you strength and your mom wellness, Abby
Guest guest
, I feel very badly for you and your mom. Have you tried loading your mom up on yummy treats (cakes, puddings, etc.) to get her weight up? How long before the doctors have your mom in for the scan? Courage Update on my mother >Hello, It's been a while and I'm sorry for not keeping in touch. > >My mother fell 2 weeks ago, she had x-rays and all was fine but she >was in alot of pain and having difficulty walking. Guest guest
, Courage suggested you take her to the ER and that is a good idea if you need immediate work done and the Doctors don't get to it. I use to be so patient and wait for appointments and that could take me 3 to 6 months!! Others just went to the ER and they would do what needed to be done right away. Guest guest
Actually Courage and Donna are right. My dad's doctor was the one who recommended it to me when he suspected that my dad's brain tumor had come back. We brought my dad back into emerg and he had an MRI and several CAT scans done in hours - meanwhile the list for those tests can be months and months long. We just don't have that kind of time given how quickly this illness seems to progress. Abby
