Guest guest Posted February 2, 2004 Report Share Posted February 2, 2004 Thanks Donna: I'm a bit tired now because my anxiety re: the first day back has kept me up for the past few nights but I'm not completely against going back. I truly do hope it will stop me from obsessing so completely on my father. Even as I type this now, at 5:40 in the morning, I long to call the nh and see what kind of a night he had but I won't because if he had a restless night it'll drive me crazy all day. Guest guest Posted February 2, 2004 Report Share Posted February 2, 2004 By all your comments, sounds like you made a good choice in going back to work. Sometimes we get so caught up in the LBD stuff, we forget there is still life going on all around us. It is a good thing to participate in life!!! It is really what your Dad is doing and while we don't always judge it as " good " the alternative doesn't do much for anyone either. It may just help you be a better caregiver and you were already a super one with all your caring. Balance is a good thing they say! Hugs and lots of fun at work.
