Guest guest Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 Hi , Welcome back to the group. I am so sorry you are going through so much. I had the lymphnodes in my neck removed with my thyroid at the end of march. I can tell you the pain gets better. Did the cancer spread anywhere else??? I hope the doctor's do all they can to help. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Danni ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL. Guest guest Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 Hello I am a fairly new member to you will probably not recognize my name but I just wanted to say how sorry I am that you are having all these medical problems on top of stills and what a drastic operation you went through. I just want to wish you well and that I hope the radiation will do it's job and you will be well on the way to recovery. All the best Joan U.K _____ From: Stillsdisease [mailto:Stillsdisease ] On Behalf Of robert_n_kansas Sent: 17 September 2006 19:57 To: Stillsdisease Subject: Re- Introduction and some updates Hello everyone My name is and I live in Kansas near Wichita. I recently rejoined the Stills website, though I never really left. It seems like I just sort of drifted away. I have had Stills for 7 yrs now and have been on disability for 5 yrs. I know though this website that Stills can cause problems with your lymph nodes. Well, guess what. Some time in late July I noticed a bump on my face while shaving and it did not go away.I went to the Dr. a couple of weeks later and they thought it was a plugged up siliva glad. I took some meds and the bump continued to get bigger. Test after test, then a needle biopsy and a surgical biopsy on Aug 23rd. The results were I have a rare form of Cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes. CT SCAN and a P E T Scan and finally the the Sept 11th operation. On September 11th I had all or at least it seemed like all my lymph nodes on the left side of my face (neck),50 in all were removed. In about a month, after I heal some, I will start radiation for 6 wks. I am not saying Stills had anything to do with this. The Dr. also does not think Stills is the cause. I truely feel this is under control, but you never know for sure. This is just what is happening in the last 2 months lol. Anyway, Hello to all. Quote

Guest guest Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 Hi Traci I was living here in 2002 also and a member of Stills website then, I wonder how we never met.Hummmm Anyway, Yes I just got back from the E.N.T. Dr.. He removed the staples (instead of stitches)from my face and he feels that after the radiation I will be in good shape. Even though he wants to see me every month for 2 yrs after radiation, lol. Now if I can just get back to being SICK FROM STILLS ONLY, lololol. Virus Free When It Left Me ! Re: Re- Introduction and some updates In Kansas: Welcome Back! Sorry to hear about the cancer.
