Guest guest
I can't figure out where the original question is about die off reactions and spaciness. I have been trying to research this. My son's candida issue is HORRIBLE, high bacteria and high Vitamin C, due to the yeast. We are using ThreeLac twice a day and a probiotic/special diet. After almost a month, we haven't seen any of the yeasty poops or anything that people mention. We have an appt. with Megson next week, so I am hoping to finally start a prescription. I know that's what he needs... My son improved tremendously on the GFCF diet and seemed like such a happy kid. His tantrums were fading/gone and his speech seemed great. He was still eating daily fruit at this time but people were saying he seemed like a completely different child. Still verbal stimming, but seemed to interact with people alot more. When I found out about his yeast issue through the OAT, it was recommended I cut out all sugar, most fruit, and make even more changes to his diet on top of the super nu thera, vitamin A and yeast treatment. My son is still doing well and his verbal stimming has decreased even more. However, he has become MUCH more spacey. It takes him SO much longer to respond to his name or complete tasks. I have even been thinking lately about just going back to GFCF only since he seemed more " with it " then. I don't understand why he seems " further away " now. Maybe it seems this way because his stimming has gone down so much and his tantrums are almost fully gone. I guess I am used to at least HEARING him more. I wanted the tantrums/stimming to stop SO bad before, and now that they have been cut tremendously, it seems like he is " in his own world " more. Does this make sense to anyone? Could the spaciness be the yeast dying off? Any imput appreciated. > > > > Does it cause die off b/c he went nuts like he does in die off.
