Guest guest
V, and All, Specific range of frequencies of RF fields kills division of certain types of cancer cells when in a range of volts/cm. All info below. This all recently came to my attention via Murray Waldman a member of the bioelectromagnetics http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bioelectromagnetics/ group: Looks like a " mainstream " Novocure is using a few Nobel Prize doctors to study this effect. They call this a " new " discovery. Novocure has " discovered " that specific ranges of various frequencies of AC electric fields applied with electrodes to parts of the body that contain a tumor(s)- works very well on some cancers that they have so far investigated. They call these (FDA approved) experimental investigations of Novocure-TTF or TTFields. (Tumor Treating Fields). They label them " low intensity " , meaning, I guess, that they utilize less AC power of <1 MHz to cause no disruptive thermal effects. The volts per cm that they utilize however appears to be considerably higher than say a godzilla device. To disrupt cell division the overall power must be quite a bit higher than is generally mentioned here. For instance, using 1 to 10 volts per centimetre of TTFs is destroying cancer cell division from electrodes on the scalp (24/7) , with reports of only sleight or no heating of the brain tissue, . One report said " insulted " electrodes. Another report suggested direct skin contact electrodes. (?) The only adverse effects reported being sleight skin irritations near the electrodes. If there are any errors here, they are mine. I believe i am reporting this accurately, but I'm not exact quoting. Anyway, there appears to be significant information on the following links.
