The United States, Japan and South Korea have also agreed that North Korea will face 'severe consequences' if it carries out more provocative acts, South Korean Foreign Minister Kim Sung-Hwan said. Clinton pointed out that with China being North Korea's main ally, there was a duty on the country to help ease tensions in the region. 'We also shared the view that North Korea will face severe consequences if it engages (in) further provocations,' Kim said after talks with Clinton and Japanese Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara.
