Guest guest
Thanks Amy! That's so cool!!! Those are what I have now and I luuuuuuuve them! I didn't find very many size 6's on the other site. It looks like they had some good ones there. Guest guest
" Thanks Amy! That's so cool!!! Those are what I have now and I luuuuuuuve them! " Last nite while doing my taebo, I realized that I'm starting to hate my shoes!!! They are Reebok's high top aerobics shoes, and they are heavy, and I can't pivot well on carpeting. Thanx Amy for the info... it is facilitating my shopping!!! Ann Marie, you mentionned earlier that you had to get a size smaller than you usually do right?? Were those fot female shoes or man shoes??? Janick who's waiting on a quote from Borderfree, since the US price is great!
Guest guest
darn you with your size 6 feet! Those are what I wanted, but I really like the Sliders that I ordered. I like the idea that I can just slip into them and wear them that way. They are supposed to be made for kicking and cardio-kick classes. I needed something new before I start my kickboxing classes next week. The instructor's been sick, so he had to cancel 2 classes.... bummer! Guest guest
Amy, LOL - you'd love my sister then - she has size 5 1/2 feet!!! That's her real size, not an adjusted size 6 like I have to do with the Otomix. They're pretty much all the same anyways. Otomix had a neat pair of crosstrainers in their catalog, but I'm not about to spend $70 on a pair of sneakers, no how - no way! Ann Marie > darn you with your size 6 feet! Guest guest
yeah, I didn't buy the cross trainers anyways, I wanted specific shoes for kickboxing and tae bo. The cross training type are what I have now and the mesh parts are what annoys me most... not enough support. The ones I ordered are supposed to be good for pivoting too... we'll see! I'll be breaking them in ASAP, and hopefully on saturday too. 5 1/2 feet?? hahah lordie. that has got to be hard to shop for! Amy
Guest guest
Amy, Yeah, the Sliders look very similar to the Dragons that I have. I was considering those until I saw the price in Otomix's catalog. They don't take very long to break in, at least the Dragon's didn't. Ann Marie - who's glad she doesn't have size 5 1/2 feet! > yeah, I didn't buy the cross trainers anyways, I wanted specific > shoes for kickboxing and tae bo. Guest guest
I would have bought the Dragons myself if they had been onsale for 18 bucks and in my size!! I don't think 48 bucks with shipping is bad. most of my regular nike airs cost 70-80 bucks anyways, so this is cheaper by far... Amy
Guest guest
I hear ya! $48 isn't bad at all. I would pay, and have paid before, $60-65 the most for Nike Airs, but not for the Otomix. Because they are such a light shoe, I don't think there's enough material there to warrant that kind of price tag. Ann Marie > I would have bought the Dragons myself if they had been onsale for 18 > bucks and in my size!! Guest guest
yup, I'm with you on that. I think it's ridiculous to pay a lot for not much. I'm sure it's the way they are made, and the quality of the leather, but still... I'm only buying them because I know I will most likely be forced to wear shoes whenever I work out in public... Guest guest
" You can get the Otomix Dragons for 18.00 http://store.yahoo.com/otomix/dragon.html " I just a quote on those shoes from Borderfree... 29.72$ CAN including exchange, customs AND shipping. This is actually a better deal than the taebo impact tapes. Ann Marie, did you say that you got your shoes one size smaller than normally??? I'm asking this, because I really want new shoes... and I want these!!! Janick who still wonders why the deal is so good for shoes and clothes, but bad for taebo tapes... Guest guest
correct me if I'm wrong Ann, but I think the people at the Martial Arts Supply store told me that I should get my otomix about a half size larger than my normal size. I am usually an 8, so I got an 8 1/2... Apparently they are cut small. Hope this helps !! But let Ann confirm this first just in case. If so, I screwed up my order... !! Guest guest
Jan, That's what they had told me (Otomix) when I ordered them. Before I ordered the ones on yahoo, I double checked mine when I went home for lunch. I remember ordering a size 6, but the tag inside the shoe says a " Female 7. " I know I didn't order 7's. I'm going to check my receipt from a year ago and see what it specifies. I would hold up ordering for the moment until I check the invoice. I also noticed a difference on the yahoo site that they offer half sizes. For some reason when I ordered them directly from Otomix, they didn't have half sizes for that specific shoe. Ann Marie - who's going to look at her invoice tonight and will post her findings > " You can get the Otomix Dragons for 18.00 > > http://store.yahoo.com/otomix/dragon.html " > > I just a quote on those shoes from Borderfree... 29.72$ CAN including exchange, customs AND shipping. Guest guest
Oh man, I'm wondering if the size thing is specific for just the Dragon model of the shoe. I remember someone on the main TB board saying to order a whole size smaller, and the Otomix folks confirmed it. See my previous message to Janick about the sizes, apparently something isn't adding up right. Ann Marie - who REALLY needs to double-check this now! > correct me if I'm wrong Ann, but I think the people at the Martial > Arts Supply store told me that I should get my otomix about a half > size larger than my normal size. Guest guest
Ok, so Ann gives me this heart attack, thinking I should have ordered a size smaller - but then I realized I misconstrued, and you were just agreeing with me, right? Anyways, I called Otomix sales just to check, they said to order a half size larger than your regular size. They do sell half sizes in the Sliders for sure, but I didn't ask about the other brands! Guest guest
Are you talking to me? I know I asked for a size 6, and thought I got a size 6, but the inside of my shoe says 7. That would make more sense to order a size 7 if I'm a regular 6 1/2. Oh boy am I confused!!! Ann Marie > Ok, so Ann gives me this heart attack, thinking I should have ordered > a size smaller - but then I realized I misconstrued, and you were > just agreeing with me, right? > > Anyways, I called Otomix sales just to check, they said to order a > half size larger than your regular size. Guest guest
" Ann Marie - who's going to look at her invoice tonight and will post her findings " Thanx Ann Marie and Amy for you insightful information... I'll wait on your info Ann Marie before ordering the shoes... If your info is not enough, I'll call Otomix and check with them. Janick who wears a size 7 and would definitely not want to order shoes that are too small!!!
Guest guest
OK. yes, YOU YOU YOU!! haha Ann Marie, YOU. haha So you are right, Otomix shoes should be ordered half size LARGER than your existing size. If you are a 6 1/2 (you said you were) and you have a 7, that is right from what they tell me! I got confused, I thought Janick was saying she thought we should order one half size smaller. Anyways, Otomix said order bigger. Is that making sense now?? LOL!! Amy who doesn't know what she's talking about anymore!!!
Guest guest
" Anyways, Otomix said order bigger. Is that making sense now?? LOL!! Amy who doesn't know what she's talking about anymore!!! " Ok, ignore my previous message... Now I understand. I'm a 7, so I should order 7.5. In that case, I won't order the shoes... What would I do without you guys to guide me??? LOL Janick who will search for a bargain elsewhere
Guest guest
Are you sure we just aren't confusing you more Janick? Yes, 7.5 would be correct! If you don't use http://www.google.com for searching, try it - do a search for otomix + sale or otomix + clearance or otomix + bargain - you can try this on canadian search engines, so that you are looking at sites already listing funds in your $ amounts... Google is great, it finds almost everything... Amy
Guest guest
LOL!!!! I don't know what makes sense anymore!!!! I guess if Otomix themselves told you to order bigger, I'd stay with that. Apparently, unbeknownst to me, it worked out that way for me too. Oh boy!!! LOL! Guest guest
OK, I just checked my invoice from last year. It says a size 7, my shoes are a size 7. I thought for sure I was told to order a 6. The size 7, according to what Otomix told you guys, is correct as I'm a 6 1/2. I apologize for the incorrect information I gave earlier. Funny - I ordered them on March 24th - almost year ago! Guess it's about time for new ones! Ann Marie - who's glad to hopefully end the confusion! Sorry guys! > " Ann Marie - who's going to look at her invoice tonight and will post > her findings " > > Thanx Ann Marie and Amy for you insightful information... Guest guest
Ann Marie, you mentionned earlier that you had to get a size smaller than you usually do right?? Were those fot female shoes or man shoes??? Janick, I have a pair of Otomix Power Trainers and I ended up with one size bigger. I wore the same size in Otomix as in other fitness shoes. You have to have some room in the toe so that you toes don't get jammed at the front of the foot. I bought the womens shoe. You can always email Otomix directly but I am sure they tell you to get 1/2 size larger at least. I think in a later email Ann Marie checked her shoes and saw she had indeed gotten 1/2 size larger then her usual shoe. Hedy
