Last nite while doing my taebo, I realized that I'm starting to hate my

shoes!!! They are Reebok's high top aerobics shoes, and they are heavy, and I

can't pivot well on carpeting.

darn you with your size 6 feet! Those are what I wanted, but I

really like the Sliders that I ordered. I like the idea that I can

just slip into them and wear them that way. They are supposed to be

made for kicking and cardio-kick classes. I needed something new

before I start my kickboxing classes next week.

The instructor's been sick, so he had to cancel 2 classes.... bummer!

yeah, I didn't buy the cross trainers anyways, I wanted specific

shoes for kickboxing and tae bo. The cross training type are what I

have now and the mesh parts are what annoys me most... not enough

support. The ones I ordered are supposed to be good for pivoting

too...

we'll see! I'll be breaking them in ASAP, and hopefully on saturday

too.

Yeah, the Sliders look very similar to the Dragons that I have. I

was considering those until I saw the price in Otomix's catalog.

They don't take very long to break in, at least the Dragon's didn't.

I would have bought the Dragons myself if they had been onsale for 18

bucks and in my size!! I don't think 48 bucks with shipping is bad.

most of my regular nike airs cost 70-80 bucks anyways, so this is

cheaper by far...

I hear ya! $48 isn't bad at all. I would pay, and have paid before,

$60-65 the most for Nike Airs, but not for the Otomix. Because they

are such a light shoe, I don't think there's enough material there to

warrant that kind of price tag.

yup, I'm with you on that. I think it's ridiculous to pay a lot for

not much. I'm sure it's the way they are made, and the quality of

the leather, but still...

I'm only buying them because I know I will most likely be forced to

wear shoes whenever I work out in public...

Arts Supply store told me that I should get my otomix about a half

size larger than my normal size. I am usually an 8, so I got an 8

1/2... Apparently they are cut small.

That's what they had told me (Otomix) when I ordered them. Before I

ordered the ones on yahoo, I double checked mine when I went home for

lunch. I remember ordering a size 6, but the tag inside the shoe

says a " Female 7. " I know I didn't order 7's. I'm going to check my

receipt from a year ago and see what it specifies. I would hold up

ordering for the moment until I check the invoice.

I also noticed a difference on the yahoo site that they offer half

sizes. For some reason when I ordered them directly from Otomix, they

didn't have half sizes for that specific shoe.

Oh man, I'm wondering if the size thing is specific for just the

Dragon model of the shoe. I remember someone on the main TB board

saying to order a whole size smaller, and the Otomix folks confirmed

it. See my previous message to Janick about the sizes, apparently

something isn't adding up right.

Anyways, I called Otomix sales just to check, they said to order a

half size larger than your regular size. They do sell half sizes in

the Sliders for sure, but I didn't ask about the other brands!

Are you sure we just aren't confusing you more Janick? Yes, 7.5

would be correct!

If you don't use http://www.google.com for searching, try it - do a

search for otomix + sale or otomix + clearance or otomix + bargain -

you can try this on canadian search engines, so that you are looking

at sites already listing funds in your $ amounts...

OK, I just checked my invoice from last year. It says a size 7, my

shoes are a size 7. I thought for sure I was told to order a 6. The

size 7, according to what Otomix told you guys, is correct as I'm a 6

1/2. I apologize for the incorrect information I gave earlier.

Funny - I ordered them on March 24th - almost year ago! Guess it's

about time for new ones!

I have a pair of Otomix Power Trainers and I ended up with one size

bigger. I wore the same size in Otomix as in other fitness shoes.

You have to have some room in the toe so that you toes don't get

jammed at the front of the foot. I bought the womens shoe. You can

always email Otomix directly but I am sure they tell you to get 1/2

size larger at least.

I think in a later email Ann Marie checked her shoes and saw she had

indeed gotten 1/2 size larger then her usual shoe.
