Dear Soul Song

There is one basic

reason for Fizzy Drinks being off our list of “To Have’s”

they are full of gas, the air becomes expanded inside the pouch, when we are

banded we become like a cow, having 2 stomachs, the gas from the fizzy, can

enlarge the pouch, causing no end of problems, it is that simple, this is why

fizzy drinks are our stand by when we have blockages, they propel food out

wonderfully...... The only use for Fizzy Drinks in our life as Bandsters...

We understand

what you are going through, our journey also had a starting point......... some

of us here have had some amazing journeys and along the way, we have gained a

great deal, but also lost a great deal, and I do not only mean weight, some of

us have lost relationships as well, myself included, but I would not trade the

life I have now, for my former life, it is that simple........

I am guilty of it Rob - I cant drink flat drinks like juice or water so opt for lemonade, that I let go slightly flat. The band is a tool, I know we keep saying that - having said that is has been the best weight loss tool I have ever had. I have tried every diet that I can think of to lose weight and after the initial few weeks of bliss, I fail. So my band and all the crap I have had to put up with it has been the best relationship I have ever had. Its something that if it were to be taken from me I would fight - sell a kidney if I had to - to keep or get another one. Knowing that I should lay off the fizz, and its going to be a new phase I will go into once I have a bit of fill out.
