HiI could be wrong, but when i had pysio on my knee and with the strapping tape I had the same reaction, I had to see the doc about the redness and he had to remove it and put a diff. type of sticky strapping over it, maybe your GP may have to do the sameI know that there is a difference between a pad and strapping tape but the glue is similar. Ok just cam out of the shower and was checking out the sugeons handy work...

I think i have a blister forming under the right side incision.... feels bubbly at the end of the plaster stuff.

I am also allergic to elastoplast and some adhesives as well.

I noticed the incision above my belling button - around the sticky plaster is red 1 cm on each side. It is not a raw red just pinky.

Is this mornal.????

Port replacement would happen if there was a fault with it or if the tubing around it was punctured or if it flipped and was damaged. Its one of those things - and can happen to anyone for no particular reason. You could baby your band and still wind up with a problem, its like anything in life. You know what your friend read on the site is pretty much a case of the bad cases looking like they out do the good stories and that is usually the case. Most people go to these sites to seek help so you often get the 'worst case' stories coming out. Most happy bandsters you never hear from, they are too busy having fun.
