So how did they treat the problem ? I am experiencing the same symptoms, dizziness, vertigo and nausea really bad. I see Dr. R for my thyroid stuff, but can I go to any doctor here in Dallas to get checked for that? wrote: To me, this sounds like an inner ear problem. I've had all thevertigo/dizziness/nausea/falling over and such from coming up from a lyingor sitting position only to hit the floor. The position changes are sonauseating. I went on and one like that for weeks and weeks, can youbelieve. It started one morning when I got out of bed, and I have thepermanent earringing. Do you have the earringing, can't remember whetherthat was you or not? Re: Jan....treating adrenals> Great...I am doing the 24 hour urine collection right now. You want to go to a GOOD ENT specialist for that, unlike the one that got hold of me. They should run some "table" tests (I call them), then you should also see an audiologist, at the same time. There should also be a scan done on your brain to make sure there is no type of tumor, etc.....I never had one. No insurance at that time. I figure it to be another autoimmune reaction, as Hashi's antibodies can decide to set up housekeeping there also. This ENT decided it was allergies (haha, what's new, I already knew I had those), without ever running this brain scan, but I'll really never know, I don't guess. Gives me samples of Zyrtec (which I had already told him that that stuff gives me postural hypotension, as it is related to the antihistamine-sedative type, Hydroxyzine) and Flonase. I was hanging onto the walls going down the hallways, barely making it into his office. I fell against the wall and banged my head on it, when I got up to go see the audiologist. But, of course, it's just allergies. That was back in 1998, the summer when Texas was introduced to massive amts of toxic smoke from across the Mexican borders. It was everywhere. This is what the primary care doctor thought it was, then promptly shipped me off to this ENT. Who knows? My ears have rung since then. This is another reason why I don't trust doctors. He WATCHED me fall in the floor and then tells me it's probably allergies.
