Guest guest
So then it's not so much that pleasure = suffering, but that pleasure--when we polarize it as the opposite of pain--creates suffering. Question: What *is* pleasure? It's like the attachment Tom or or someone was responding to me about after my effing worksheet the other day. When i'm attached to wanting to be happy then it's painful. When i'm just happy it's wonderful--no pain until a thought appears about wanting to hold on to that. When i experience pleasure i'm not suffering, unless i'm looking for pleasure and trying to hang onto it when i have it, out of fear of experiencing the pain again. Yes?
