Even with PPOs, the docs are getting pressure. My internist has now "decided" that thyroid sonograms for me are "not medically necessary." I am a thyroid cancer survivor. . . . I have heard nothing about a Dr. Resnick. Just because a doc prescribes Armour does not mean that he will keep you adequately medicated. wrote: I am in the same neck of the woods as , the Angleton/Lake area, south of Houston. There is a GP on the "Doctors who prescribe Armour" website by the name of Dr. Resnick in Lake . Have you or anyone else heard anything about him? I

also thought I would maybe try the OB/GYN Dr. Cook that I read that has mentioned. I would like to keep a GP local, but am open to going to Houston area for any other type doc. The real problem is, as I see it, is I have an EPO which is just like an HMO. And I think my doctor is getting pressured from the insurance company into limiting testing etc. Thanks for any input,> Hi everyone, I was hoping that I could get some advise on my labs. Thanks, but I am covered. Steve is ordering one for me next time I am in Lubbock. My insurance will pay. They are dropping docs who order too many tests. wrote: I can get a thyroid sono for under $200 cash if your insurance won't pay.Yet another reason more docs are telling the insurance companies totake a hike.-- In Texas_Thyroid_Groups , Jan wrote:>> Even with PPOs, the docs are getting pressure.
