Guest guest Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 I have been reading a lot researching and also here about RAI. I have yet to read anything about RAI like me. Everyone that I read about has Hashi etc when they have the RAI. My doctor back 10 yrs ago found after 4 months of tests that I had NO thyroid harmone! I have to tell you all that I was in serious shape at that time. But here is what I don't ever read about. He said that my thyroid was dead .. ordered the RAI and scan and that was that! He never told me I had anything except I had no thyroid harmone because my gland "just died" He told me that it is best to go ahead and make sure that it does not come and go the rest of my life. Ok so what do you all think? Have you heard of this before? I had such a horrible time with this doctor that as soon as I was placed on synthroid .. I quit him and found an endo. Of course, it really doesn't matter about this NOW. What is done is done but I was just curious as I have not ever heard of read anything like this. Roxy Fort Worth Quote
