Guest guest
Has anyone ever tried grapeseed extract (pycnogenol)? I am thinking of trying it, as I've read it has some anti-inflammatory properties and some anti-histamine actions, and might be helpful. If anyone has tried it, let me know how it worked. Thanks,
Guest guest
If memory serves, grape seed extract and pycnogenol (sp?) are not the same thing. Anyway, the results I have seen from grape seed extract are subtle at best, although I gobble the stuff along with oil of oregano and olive leaf whenever I start getting sick. It may be just placebo effect but I think they help. Mike
Guest guest
Thanks, Mike! You are correct-I should have said grape seed extract or pycnogenol. They both are classified as proanthocyanadins and the info I've seen suggests they are similar. I think the pycnogenol is from some kind of pine bark. Do you take it regularly or just when ill? Guest guest
Just when I feel that virus in the offing. I regularly take a bunch of supplements to compensate for a diet that is less than ideal and terror at the idea of AMD but don't see any need for things like grape seed extract on a daily basis. > Thanks, Mike! Guest guest
We use MonaVie, which is actually has lots of berries in it, but the main one is Acai. It has helped around allergy season, mainly spring for her, to ward off infections that my daughter would get otherwise. > > > Has anyone ever tried grapeseed extract (pycnogenol)?
