Guest guest
Hi List Sisters... I had a couple of weird dreams last night, and I thought I'd share them. Maybe some of you dream experts might know what they mean. In the few dreams I've had with mother in them since the schism three years ago, she was stone cold and avoided all eye contact. Other than a short dream a couple of weeks ago that I've forgotten because I didn't write it down, this is the first dream in which mother was normal towards me. Dream #1 I was at a square dance, and mother was an observer. She was in good physical condition, more like when she was in her 60s. The hall was empty except for mother, myself and the people I was dancing with in my square of 8. She and I were fine. She was seated around a corner where she couldn't see me, so I asked her to move closer, so she could see me. She happily obliged. All of the dancers in my square were vague and obscure in appearance. When the dance began, a very distinct tall dark male whisked me elegantly through the moves, which encircled and intertwined the square, while the other dancers remained passive. While I was dancing, mother somehow turned into a man. " He " got up and left in an angry outburst over something I had no clue about. It was if mother had never been there, and the man had been all along. It was perfectly normal that mother wasn't there, and the man was. The incident wasn't particularly upsetting, just shocking. Dream #2 I was in a huge indistinct grayish stone like room, in which was a pool, again grayish and indistinct. I was at the side, and there was a baby who apparently had fallen in, although I didn't see it happen. The baby was motion-less and ashen looking as it sank to the bottom out of sight in the murky water. I searched in vain for the baby at the bottom, but the water was too cloudy to see far. I managed to get the attention of a couple of people behind me and in the distance on a second floor ledge or something similar. They got out a long pole with a net at the end, but they weren't in any hurry. In the meantime, the baby became visible as it rose to the surface. I leaned over the edge to grab it, but it began to sink back down again, just out of reach, before it reached the top. By now the net-people were busy socializing and were completely oblivious to what was going on. I was beside myself with worry and concern, knowing the baby had only " two " more times to come up for air before drowning. Standing steadfastly by the edge of the pool, I knew I'd need help when the baby surfaced again, but the net-people weren't the least bit concerned. I tried to get their attention by yelling " Help " , but the words wouldn't come out, try as I did! I kept watching for the baby, but it didn't appear. By this time the net-people had disappeared into a side room, and I could hear their light-hearted chatter. With still no baby in sight, I gathered all the energy I could muster and began stammering " Heee...l.p.....He..el...llp...... " with a very low slow weak tone, like I had a speech impediment..........poof!!! I awoke to my dog Lucky's gentle nudges. Pretty weird, huh? SmileS!
