Guest guest
Hi : Since you have been " feeling " all this time -- maybe you have TOTALLY already DEALT with the feelings -- and now the feelings are just bringing you down. In other words, they are no longer productive. Only you can be the judge of that. But in case you know that you really haven't " dealt " with the feelings yet -- I just want to share with you that my therapist encouraged me to " be with " the pain -- and to work through it. She said when you're feeling something and something is bothering you, that means that your mind is ready to deal with it. It is painful, and also a nuisance -- but I have found that my therapist was right!! Sweeping feelings under the rug is only delaying the process that your mind has to go through -- the feelings will come out in other ways -- back pain, lashing out at others, even serious illnesses. Escaping the feelings leads to alcohol abuse, drug abuse and other addictions. I just feel that the consequences are so severe, I want you to be aware of them. Good luck Barb > > > I totally understand how you feel, because I used to react the exact > same way too, and it only got worse, not better. > <<<< > > > > Well that does give me hope Carol to know it does get to the point > of non reaction. > > > <<<<< > > Begin by setting some boundaries, like not answering the phone when > it's her (Caller ID).
