Guest guest Posted August 19, 2002 Report Share Posted August 19, 2002 Hi : Now that I think of it -- one other thing IS possible -- maybe she's so naive her son and 18 year old told her that there woundn't be any alcohol and she believed them!! Maybe she should be made aware of what actually went on. Perhaps in a light, joking manner you could bring it up? Maybe say it could be dangerous to leave kids alone, even at age 16 and 18? It's up to you. I always screw that stuff up, and it would end up the neighbor would pick a fight with me about it, then the other neighbors would hear rumors about our " fight " and would side with my neighbor and I'd be on the outs with the entire neighborhood. Like I said in my 2nd post -- " clash of values " ! I had a neighbor who was really bad -- but no one on the street would stand up to her EXCEPT me! Guess what -- all the other neighbors turned against me because according to them, I should have " just tried to get along with her. " ARGH!
