Deb,

I'm a clown--I ordered some last night. They should be here in a

couple days and I'll let you know what I think.

If you're a clown, won't the pads just pull off all your makeup?

(Yes, yes, I'm on the lam from Bad Jokes 'R Us for violating their standards.)

No, it's when she uses the jerky as eye patches that the makeup gets all

messed up.

If I have to be a grownup, can I at least be telekinetic too?

Hi Deb,

I've tried the pads and I like them. The first ones I used were the

" blue " ones and I almost felt like they drained me so I only used

one pad at a time. Since then I found out there are different

colors with different ingredients for different purposes. To try

them all out and to get a really good price go this ebay site:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ50QQfsopZ1QQsa

ssZcheapdetoxpads4sale They also have a web site

www.healthmarvels.net and they ship worldwide.

Thanks for that, Louise. The NZ site only had one type, so I was interested

to see about the different types. It's also a lot cheaper (about 1/2 the

price) than buying them in NZ.

Cheers, deb

Oh, that's quick. What kind did you get? Will be interesting to see if they

do anything to help that big, red, clown nose. Or has the GFCF already fixed

that? <g>

deb,

I got the Takara brand. I am not reassured the quaint

translation on the instruction sheet:

" The spirit which animates and controls the universe of bamboo!

Sap sheet of bamboo vinegar and tree vinegar attached to the sole of

the foot!

" If the body waste matter is drained out, one is full of vigor.

Please relive [sic] fatigue with 'Takara Foot Patch' , bamboo

vinegar and tree vinegar sap sheet using the vitality and absorption

of the tree! "

Here, I found the original text. It should be much more helpful:

Doesn't that fill you with confidence and banish all the moeheid exhaustion?

Oh yeah, actually, I forgot last night so I've only done one night.

In the morning, after twelve hours, the pads were predictably sticky

and, well, gross looking. I also got a headache and slight nausea

promptly after applying them, but I had had a long hard day and was

just siting down to unwind for the night, so that may account for that.

My suspicious nature whispers that these pads may be like ear cones in

that when I burned an ear cone in an empty jar, it filled up with

" gunk " . So what I need to do to alleviate that fear is to leave a

foot pad exposed overnight and see what transpires. Tonight! Also,

maybe try moistening one with some water as well, in case that's the

catalyst.

Heat might be another catalyst. Not quite sure how you'd replicate that tho.

for dh......

Huh. I once tried ear candles and found exactly the opposite. My ears,

which had been extremely waxy for most of my life (and after to trying the

candles too -- it wasn't until I made some major dietary changes that they

got a lot less waxy) cleaned up dramatically when I used the candles and

took quite awhile to plug up again. I also burned one candle by itself out

in the air to see if it was just a sham, and nothing accumulated in the

candle. I didn't stick the bottom in a jar, though.

I'm not sure about the candles. Your story is very interesting to me.

I mean, just because the candle filled with identical junk in an

empty jar doesn't mean the chimney effect doesn't still do something

beneficial to the ear. So if there was no accumulation on your candle

in the air, then what happened to the burnt candle material do you

reckon? It's canvas and beeswax, right? Where'd it go?

No, I think the ones I had were cheesecloth and beeswax. The woman who

gave them to me (she wanted me to attest to their effectiveness or lack

thereof) said it's crucial to get the right ratio of wax to cloth and that

most ear candles have too much wax. At any rate, it just seemed to burn

off. The candle I burned on its own didn't accumulate anything at

all. Good beeswax candles are drip-free, aren't they?
