Guest guest
Some friends/patients of mine will be featured on wife swap this coming Monday Aug 6th at 8:00 pm Pacific time. I did their physicals to get them prepared for the show and sent my invoice (not a HCFA) to ABC TV and they paid if right away! It was very funny to be paid not by the patient, or their insurance company (uninsured) but by a major TV network. Check out how the eco-friendly live and how they (likely) get embarassed on TV while trying to get their message across to the mainstream. Here's what they have to say about it... _____________________________________________ Bolman and Rios of Maitreya EcoVillage will be featured on ABC Televison's Wife Swap " reality " TV show on Monday, August 6. It was the better part of a year ago when an email went around saying that a " reality " TV show called Wife Swap was looking for an ecovillage family to participate in their show. Presumably, the ecovillage family would have it's wife/mother swapped with that of a highly consumeristic, environmentally clueless family - and thus the sparks would fly making for titillating entertainment. Just on a lark, sent out a two sentence email. The production company got back in touch with her within five minutes and they stayed in touch with us until the eight person production crew showed up in April. It was quite an experience. If you want to learn more, you'll have to watch the episode this coming Monday, August 6 on ABC Television. Rush/Rios-Bolman Monday @ 8:00 pm This week in, a woman whose dogs come first in the household swaps lives with an eco-friendly wife who takes recycling to the extreme by re-using her own urine for fertilizer, on " Wife Swap, " MONDAY, AUGUST 6 (8:00-9:00 p.m.) on WOTV 4. Each week from across the country, two families with very different values are chosen to take part in a two-week long challenge. The wives from these two families exchange husbands, children and lives (but not bedrooms) to just what it's like to live another woman's life. It's a mind-blowing experiment that often ends up changing their lives forever. Doesn't that make ya want to take our IMP message to reality TV?? Thanks for all the NYC feedback. I'll be calling/emailing offlist to those who offered their help in getting me reaquainted with the outside world. I'll be sure to bring my passport. Thanks Lou!
