Guest guest
Re: The 2007 Texas Families Unite Rally To: Texas Autism Advocacy listmates, This is a great opportunity for us all to gather together and meet each other from this list! We can make it a project to join with TXPACS each year for this Texas Families Unite Rally. Many of you ask me how to make a difference -- this yearly event would be that starting point. Let those Senators and Representatives in Austin know what a force we can be! If you can be there that day - make plans to meet with your representative or senator before or after the rally. If you can't be there that day, send them a letter, and send it to Jeanine as well for her to add to the stories she is collecting to present to the Legislators. Some have also asked what can we as " Texas Autism Advocacy " do. Well... this is it. Those of you veterans on this list -- get together in your communities to organize a bus to take parents to Austin for the day. Use this list to call out parents from each Metro-area -- and ya'll figure out a way to rent a bus or van and get to Austin! More details about the day will be added to the " A Call to Action " page of our website: www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org. So - if there are folks organizing things in different areas of Texas - you all can submit to me what you would like me to put on that " A Call to Action " page. This event would be where your, " I want to do something, " ~ becomes, " Look what we did!!!! " Sincerely, M.
