Contact/Pad and Implants

Dear List,

A friend of mine who has titanium plate (implant?)for his hernia (I

assume it is a small peice) is asking if using a Contact/Pad device

in a symmetrical biphasic mode causes a problem.

Also, he is asking the same question for his father who has silver

implants for broken bones.

It is my understanding (and I could be wrong) that a symmetrical

biphasic wave does not cause a problem while monophasic could.

Please advise.
